I recently shot at Tom Dixon’s place in Portobello docks and also The Paramount club ( . . . a Tom Dixon designed space).
In doing so, I have noticed that he is a fan of antique copper jugs (which feature strongly at both locations.)
It’s so easy to over-look these beautiful objects. For a lot of people, copper = naff, but I think that is short-sighted. Tom uses the material in quite a few of his designs, and no wonder – it’s a beautiful patina that can lean towards so many different design eras.
